Greetings!
My name is Alexander Goldberg.
I am a computer game designer with a specialty in gameplay programming and particular experience in building 2D games in the Unity Game Engine. Besides my experience with C# and Unity, I also have some skill with C++ and, to an extent, the Unreal Engine blueprint system.
I am currently a student at George Mason University (Fairfax, VA) studying game design. I have always had an interest in crafting things and an enjoyment of computer games, from Missile Command on the Atari 2600 to DOOM 2016. My focus is gameplay programming and figuring out those hard to solve problem mechanics is a passion of mine along with bringing games to life.
My watch words, for all projects I am part of, are hard work and dedication to getting the project done, and done right. I insist on working toward the best possible end result and make a point of producing quality work in as timely a manner as feasible. I understand deadlines and meet them.
While my experience, thus far, is in an academic setting, I have worked on a wide variety of genres with different mechanics and teams. I have worked as the defacto team leader, as well as following someone else’s lead, as the project dictates. In either role, I make a point of keeping my work organized, accessible, and as professional as possible in order to ensure easy and clear communication with my teammates, and superior outcomes.
I look forward to working on my next project, maybe with you?
